The Wharfedale DX-2 HCP, consisting four satellite speakers for the front and rear, plus a compact centre speaker, with an active subwoofer, the DX-2 replaces the DX-1 Series of speaker packages.

The DX-2 brings in key ingredients that made the DX-1 HCP and DX-1SE packages so successful, with re-engineered and improved cabinet design, a smart contemporary new look, the drive units have been tuned and active, giving the subwoofer a upgraded with more powerful and sophisticated integral amplifier resulting in a greater scale of refinement. 

High Quality 

The Satellite speakers bring the ideal size for quality home cinema, bringing in the two-way design features silk dome tweeters for a smooth treble. The woofers have been woven polypropylene to give a dynamic sounding mid-range. These sealed cabinets mean you are free to place them close to a wall without compromising the sound quality.

Centre Speaker

The DX-2 uses a dedicated speaker with the ideal twin-woofer layout. This device is able to sit nicely under your TV but it offers a more spacious sound with vocals and even dialogue that is set against an audio playlist.

Subwoofer

With the matching subwoofer, this 20cm Bass Driver is powered by the 70w amplifier for a fast and defined sound. The quality of the subwoofer gives a design that ensures that it integrates superbly with other speakers in the package. The Auto-power feature automatically switches in or out of the standby when a signal is sensed.

Driver Configuration

With the mounting of the wall or an AV stand or shelf, the small DX-2 Satellite has a 19mm silk dome tweeter and 75 mm mid/bass driver with a woven polypropylene cone. Giving a design that includes an aperiodic bass loading system consisting of a vent that is filled with resistive foam.
