The all new Freeview Play HD TV Recorder can give you instant access to the best in Catch-up TV and On-Demand. Because of the three digital tuners, you are now able to record up to 4 programmes at one time - while watching another!
This is the simplest Freeview Play Recorder so far, it has an easy set up and has its own built in Wi-Fi to provide you with the ultimate Subscription Free TV Entertainment experience. Humax's newest range of compact Freeview Play recorders bring together form and function beautifully. You can flip through the 7 day electronic programme guide to choose, remind or record your fave TV shows and films. And thanks to the new improved intelligent search makes it all the more easier to search for the show you want from Live TV, Recordings and Catch-Up. You don't need to worry about confusing cables, as you can just use the built in Wi-Fi to connect to your home network. You'll have the chance to catch uup on missed programmes from the last 7 days through a single guide, which includes: BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, and Demand 5. In addition to all of this, your favourite TV shows can be recorded from the same screen, and up to 8 days in advance.
There are new 'hot keys' on the remote control:
- Freeview Play button - Access TV Guide, On-Demand, Top Picks, Recordings, Media, Settings Catch-Up, and Apps from a single screen.
- On-Demand button - Access catch-up services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Demand 5, UKTV plus YouTube, Humax Eye app and additional Humax apps.
- Netflix button - Directly access your Netflix account (a Netflix streaming membership is required.)
There are also some Electronic Programme Guide improvements:
- Smart Search (the magnifying glass icon) - Easy input programme details and the smart search feature will scan for your programme selection from Live TV, On-Demand, Freeview Play apps and Recordings.
- Surf and Scan Banner - While you are watching TV, press the 'OK' button, and a banner will appear from the bottom of the screen which will display the programme's informantion. You can press either the 'up' or 'down' arrows around the OK button to scroll up and down the channel list, which will be displayed on the left hand side of the screen, and if you press the OK button again more detailed programme information is displayed in a larger pop up panel. In this page you'll have the option to record the programme, or set a reminder to watch it later.
- New Recordings Screen - You can choose between thumbnails in a grid or vertical list to look at content fast and simply.
- Media Player - You'll be able to play media from connected storage devices (like USBs) or home networked devices on to the big screen, you can listen to digital music files or stream live content from connected smart phones or tablets.
- Have the chance to pair with the Humax H3 Smart media player - Get a multi-room TV experience with no subscriptions.
- And with the built in Humax Eye app - you'll be able to view home security live or playback recordings on your TV via the 5000T.
