Accessible and High Performing
With this generation of Diamond Speakers introduces that feature that isn’t usually available at an accessible price. With the heart of the design to ensure that the HiFi is available to all music lovers
With the new drive units that are showcased across the Diamond 11 series, each of these was designed and crafted by Wharfedale’s exceptional in house engineers.
The Bass and Midrange drivers that combine the Kevlar cones with the large magnets and unique ribbed baskets to bring additions that enhance the performance of every speaker.
With providing aesthetic to the curved cabinet walls it enhances the model’s acoustic performance. The updated version of the Wharfedale’s slot loaded distributed port improves the bass loading and delivers a rich bass sound.
Driver System Updated
The drivers in the Diamond range are aimed at achieving the highest possible performance and been one of the cheaper on the budget speakers on the market. The result of the Diamond 11 series enjoy an advanced driver system that you would traditionally find in higher end designs.
The Bass and midrange drivers utilise a basket that is kept rigid by a series of ribs which keeps a large open area behind the cone. The Combination complements each other, the rigidity aids transient impact while the spacious open area lessens early reflections to the cone and enables the internal cabinet to come into its own.
With the addition of the magnets, it raises the sensitivity and ensures that total control of the movement of the cone over lower bass frequencies. The utilisation of the designed single forged pole with copper cap guides gives the magnetic flux and helps to lessen the effects of distortion through the important midrange zone.
The Drive Units are the heart of the loudspeaker system. They would be nothing without the integration of the derived crossover.
The final circuit strategy has been chosen, giving the design team fine tunes the crossover component values, the type of components and the circuit board layout to yield the most accurate detailed and above all musical performance using the listening tests as the quality.
