Is How much do you charge for delivery?
Our standard delivery service is FREE

All of our customers can take advantage of our starndard delivery service {One Man, Monday – Friday (0800 hours– 1700 hours) delivered to your door service} unless otherwise indicated on the site or if you have specifically purchased an installation or installation and removal service.

There are a number of different factors to consider when selecting the delivery service that you require, such as: what product you have ordered, how many items are in your order and the delivery location.

The standard delivery service is available to any mainland GB address with the exception of postal code areas:

Scottish Highlands: IV KW and AB (£10.00 surcharge)

Jersey,

Isle of Man (IM),

Isle Of Wight,

Orkney Isles,

Outer Hebrides

Shetland Isles (HS, ZE)

These areas will incur additional charges (email us for a quotation distribution@electricshop.com) and may also experience longer lead times.

We reserve the right to charge £19.95 delivery on bulk telephone orders


We do not deliver our goods to Northern Ireland at this time.

I am not going to be at home to receive my pre-arranged delivery, what do I need to do?

Please contact us to as soon as possible to let us know. We require a signature for all deliveries made by our own delivery vehicles and third party carriers.

We reserve the right to charge a £40.00 re-deliver fee for any pre arranged deliveries that fail.

What other delivery options are available to me?

There are a number of additional delivery options available to customers for a small surcharge:

· Two Man delivery service: £20.00 (Mon – Sat)

This service is available to most codes within the UK. The delivery team will deliver your order into your property, unpack the item and remove all packaging. This service is not available for next day deliveries

· AM/ PM delivery service: £10.00 (Mon – Fri)

This service will be our One Man to your door service, with an AM / PM option. This service is available to most codes within the UK. This service is not available for next day deliveries

· Saturday Delivery service: £30.00

This service will be our One Man to your door service, with an AM / PM option. This service is available to most codes within the UK. This service is not available for next day deliveries.

The site indicates “In Stock”. When will I receive my goods?

For products, which are held at our main warehouse, with the exception of some smaller audio/visual products, we will endeavour to process your order within 48 hours and contact you to confirm despatch of your order. To identify if your product is in the main warehouse please email
distribution@electricshop.com with your order number.

The site says my product is available within 5-7 days. What will happen now?

These dates indicate to us the approximate lead times manufacturers quote us for delivery of your goods. Some of our deliveries are carried out by the manufacturers themselves and usually take place within the timescales quoted in working days e.g. excluding Saturdays. Products that are not delivered directly by manufacturers are ordered in to our main warehouse, we will then contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

Some products offer me 'Guaranteed Next Day Delivery' for a small surcharge. Is this correct?


This service is currently available on items that are advertised as ‘IN STOCK’.
Orders must be placed before 12noon on the previous day to secure this service which is available Monday – Friday. Orders to some delivery areas placed before 12noon on a Friday may be eligible for a Saturday delivery service – please confirm prices for this service at the time of order.
Due to the nature of the working week and courier collection times, ‘next day’ orders required for delivery on a Monday will also need to be placed by 12noon on the previous Friday.
Customers ordering ‘In stock’ items on-line will be contacted within 48hrs to arrange a suitable delivery date.
Please note this service is NOT AVAILABLE to credit sales, and orders from postal code areas IV KW and AB, Jersey, Isle of Man (IM), Isle Of Wight, Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles (HS, ZE)

Can I specify a date for delivery?


Goods despatched via our own warehouse can be delivered on any weekday as requested with 24-hour prior notice. You will be notified at the time your delivery is scheduled if this facility is available.

Customers who live within postcodes local to our distribution centre are able to take advantage of a Two Man delivery service. The postcodes covered by this service are detailed below:

I work during the day. What options exist to take delivery of my order?

Certain products may be delivered to your work address. You must however indicate this when placing orders either online, in ‘Shipping Address’, or to your sales person via the telephone.

Saturday deliveries are possible on certain products to certain postcodes but will incur additional charges. Please email sales@electricshop.com for further information on this service.

I live in an apartment on the first floor. Will my order be delivered into my property?

We can deliver to any ground floor, mainland UK address. If you need delivery to other floors please contact us to check if this is possible. It will depend on the type of appliance you are ordering and the level of access available. A small surcharge may be payable. You can still have your order delivered to the ground floor if you can arrange for the goods to be moved into place from there. We reserve the right to fail delivery if you have not informed us that it will not be to the ground floor, and we will give you the choice of leaving the appliance at the ground floor or taking it away. If we take the appliance away we will give you the option of re-arranging the delivery (this may incur a re-delivery fee).

What delivery options exist if I live on the Isle of Man or Shetland Isles for example?

We deliver to any GB address with the exception of Jersey, Isle of Man (IM), Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles (PA, ML, EH, KA, G, KY, PH, DD, AB, IV, KW), Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles (HS, ZE) that will incur additional charges (email us for a quotation
sales@electricshop.com) and may also experience delivery delays.

Can you call me en-route when delivering my order so that I can arrange to meet you at my premises?

Not always, but on certain deliveries on certain products, particularly in London, we can. Please email
distribution@electricshop.com if this service is a requirement. This is because our different couriers operate different policies.

Can you install my products?

On some of our freestanding products, excluding refrigeration, we offer installation and removal to certain postcode areas, please phone 01582 668813 or e-mail
sales@electricshop.com for details.

American fridge freezers are delivered directly by manufacturers. The product will be connected on delivery, providing the mains water pipe has the correct fitting and is within one metre of the unit.

What about damage on delivery?

Before you sign the delivery note, please make sure that the goods are unpacked and inspected when they arrive. In the unlikely event of damage occurring in transit, this will help towards a speedy replacement if the goods are refused. IN THE EVENT THAT GOODS CANNOT BE INSPECTED ON DELIVERY THEN SIGN FOR THEM AS "UNEXAMINED". However, our experience tells us that this usually means us having to raise a new order. Therefore, we strongly urge you to inspect the goods upon delivery.

All damages must be reported to us within 3 days of delivery. For all damaged or faulty goods please report to us by telephone, and then confirm this to us in writing. You can also email us at
